Spex is your scope of loss tool for photo reports, forms, and more. But sometimes we don't meet all of your needs. If you need to export a diagram file from Penultimate (see: App store), and import it into Spex, follow the steps below.

Once you've completed your Penultimate diagram, return to the main page where you can view all of your diagrams. Find the diagram (or diagram set) that you need to export.

Tap and hold on the diagram preview until a few bubbles pop up. When you see the bubbles, slide your finger in the direction of the Export button.

A menu with different options will appear. While it makes sense to tap on the Spex app logo - don't! Penultimate won't be quite ready to send to Spex yet. Instead, tap on the "Export PDF" button. It will get your diagram prepped for Export.

Repeat the Tap-Hold-and-Slide method on the preview of your diagram again to hit the Export bubble. You'll see that the menu items offered look a little different now. Tap on the Spex logo to send your diagram to the app.

Name your file, and choose the Report you want to attach it to from the drop-down. You might have to scroll to find your Project.

Select to add it to either the Attachments section, or a specific Structure and Area. Assign it a type of file (Diagram). Then tap "Post.

Return to your Inspection in Spex to confirm that your export worked.

That's it! If you need some help with exporting from a third party, don't hesitate to reach out to us. Click on the chat bubble at the bottom right hand corner of this page.
